Pocket Monsters Red (Japanese: ポケットモンスター 赤) and Green (Japanese: ポケットモンスター 緑) were the first Pokémon games, created by Nintendo. They were changed from Red and Green to Red and Blue in versions outside of Japan.
Plot[]
The game starts with the game player and his rival. The player receives one of three starters, Fushigidane (Grass), Hitokage (Fire), and Zenigame (Water), and goes off on their journey. The player fights 8 Gyms, consisting of Rock, Water, Electric, Grass, Psychic, Poison, Fire, and Ground-type Pokémon, an evil organization named Roketto-Dan, and their rival. Eventually, the player has to fight the Elite Four to beat the game.
The player is given a Pokémon Zukan by Doctor Okkido at the beginning of the game, who intends for the player to view and catch all 151 Pokémon, including Myuu.
Gameplay[]
The game plays with mostly one player. However, through trade and connection for other means, up to two players at a time can be in the game at once. A useful set of buttons allows the player to move, open the menu, save, and much more. At this point, not very many attributes are available to experience a more wholesome gameplay.
Connections[]
The most famous connector is the Game Boy link cable, which allows the players to trade, battle, and communicate with other trainers in the real world. A few of the Pokémon can only evolve through trade, namely Goron, Gousuto, and Gouriiki.
Trading between different languages and generations are impossible in these games, resulting in a corrupted save file every time this is attempted.
